Tour de Broward 2012 will be held on February 26, 2012

The third annual Tour de Broward will be held on February 26, 2012 at Miramar Regional Park. This fun, family friendly events helps raise money for Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

Just a short drive from Westonb is one of the best pumpkin patches in all of Broward County located at Flamingo Road Nursery. They have a great selection of pumpkins. The prices are reasonable. There is a place for kids to paint pumpkins while you are there. Hail bails and friendly scarecrows make for a great background for pictures of the kids. The kids will enjoy all of the decorations while parents enjoy the beautiful Fall Florida weather. You can grab a bite to eat at their deli while you are there.

The Swamp Witch returns to haunt another night in the West Arboretum of the Gardens. Plus plenty of scarecrows, the Haunted Woods, and the Haunted House in the Gift Shop at Flamingo Gardens.

10/28/2011 - Halloween Safety Expo at Indian Trace Park - Free event


Children can trick or treat in a fun, safe, family environment sponsored by the City of Weston and Broward Sheriff’s department. Children can also do fun crafts sponsored by local businesses.

The Broward Sheriff’s department will have helicopters, police cars, police motorcycles, SWAT team and a K9 demonstration.


Tip: Arrive as early as possible for best parking.

10/29/2011 - Thrill the World performance - Weston Town Center


Come out to Weston Town Center to watch the zombies perform Michael Jackson’s famous song “Thriller”. The event is hosted by Weston Jazzercise. You can come watch the event for free. If you are interested in becoming a zombie, you can participate for a $10 donation. 100% of the proceeds go to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. You must learn the dance routine ahead of time. Zombies all over the world will simultaneously performing Thriller. This is the fifth year the Thrill the World event takes place.

10/31/2011 - Halloween Spooktacular - Weston Town Center

Weston residents come out to Town Center for a safe night of Trick or Treating, costume contest, face painting, and more. Those wishing to participate in the costume contest can register starting at 5:30.


Tip: This event is extremely popular and crowded. The earlier you arrive the better.
